Graduation Rate
The graduation ceremony at Central High School began at 6:00 pm. Speeches were given by both students and administrators. Two students alternated reading names of the graduates alphabetically by last name as the graduates accepted their diplomas from the principal. Student A, shown in blue, began reading names, followed by Student B, shown in red below. The two students continued to alternate reading their respective number names for all \(227\) names of the graduating class.
1) What is the name reading rate of change for Student A?
2) What is the name reading rate of change for Student B?
3) Estimate when the graduation will end if the pattern of Student A and Student B continue alternating reading the same number of names at the same rate.
4) Estimate how long the speeches took. How do you know?
